In Yemen, the Middle East and North Africa, Z'hug is an essentially savory simple sauce, something like a cross between a pesto and a salsa verde, but hotter than either, and with an intricate flavor profile.  Z'hug's versatility makes it more and more popular around the world.  Our product is a dry recreation of the traditional sauce, featuring a meticulously crafted blend of a variety of premium authentic spices.

Z'hug is fragrant, intensely savory with earthy notes, smoky, with a slightly citrus finish.

May be used in soups and stews, in couscous or quinoa, as well as with dips such as hummus or Baba ganoush.  A spoonful enlivens a bowl of vegetable or bean soup!
