Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga that begain over 5000 years ago in India...

Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga that began over 5000 years ago in India, and is a whole-body and mind science of wellness. Ayurveda means the study of life, and takes a natural approach to all aspects of health and well-being.  Ayurveda believes that each person has unique constitution (dosha).

Chef Sheryl, a trained Ayurvedic Chef, focuses on gut health and food as medicine from an Ayurvedic standpoint.  We will get to know each person’s dosha in this class and make food that is delicious and easy to digest. Ayurvedic cooking helps reduce inflammation in the body, removes toxins and impurities, helps calm the mind and brings more balance into life. This class will have some hands-on cooking and teachings of Ayurveda so you can leave with an understanding of what foods heal you and what foods to focus on for the season.

In this class we will focus on a menu that represents all six 'tastes'... sweet, sour, salty, pungent, astringent and bitter.... for an incredible taste experience, plus seasonal balancing food for all doshas.  The menu will include sweet potato and grilled paneer tower with cranberry chutney, a salad of bibb lettuce, shaved fennel and pickled onion in a citrus vinaigrette, and warm bluebery compote with a sweet masala and cashew whipped cream!

Bring your appetite, and a bottle of wine or your favorite beverage if you'd like.  Class will begin at 7PM, and will be limited to 14 participants.  Class participants will receive a 10% discount on any items purchased at the store the evening of the event.

Class reservations are non-refundable.  If we have a waitlist, we will attempt to fill your spot if you cannot make it, and will be happy to refund you if we are successful.
